Start your crop off on the right foot by including a tank-mix partner at pre-plant. It will help control weeds and fight herbicide resistance.
Glyphosate (Group 9), the active ingredient in Roundup WeatherMAX® and Roundup Transorb® HC herbicides, is the most widely used herbicide and cornerstone of many weed management programs in Canada.
PRE-PLANT: YOUR EASIEST TANK-MIXING OPPORTUNITY
The advantages of applying a pre-plant tank mix are numerous and include the following:
- Starting clean with an effective pre-plant application helps reduce early-season weed pressure, which helps your crop get off to a good start.
- Pre-plant is the easiest opportunity to add additional modes of action to your herbicide program. Relying solely on glyphosate or any one mode of action for weed management increases the risk of developing herbicide resistance. Effective tank-mix partners with two or more modes of action are important to help prevent resistance on your farm.
- By using glyphosate as a base, you're taking advantage of its effective weed control.
THE VALUE OF RESIDUAL HERBICIDES
Including an effective residual herbicide in a pre-plant tank mix helps keep fields clean longer and reduces the selection pressure for resistance to post-emergent herbicides. Pre-plant/pre-emergence residual herbicides are the foundation of successful waterhemp control in corn and soybeans.

ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW PESTICIDE LABEL DIRECTIONS. Performance may vary from location to location and from year to year, as local growing, soil and weather conditions may vary. Growers should evaluate data from multiple locations and years whenever possible and should consider the impacts of these conditions on the grower’s fields.
It is a violation of violation of federal law to use any pesticide product other than in accordance with its labeling. NOT ALL formulations of dicamba or glyphosate are approved for in-crop use with products with Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans. ONLY USE FORMULATIONS THAT ARE SPECIFICALLY LABELED AND APPROVED FOR SUCH USES. Contact the Pest Management Regulatory Agency with any questions about the approval status of dicamba herbicide products for in-crop use with Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans or products with XtendFlex® Technology.
Roundup Ready® 2 Technology contains genes that confer tolerance to glyphosate. Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans contains genes that confer tolerance to glyphosate and dicamba. Glyphosate will kill crops that are not tolerant to glyphosate. Dicamba will kill crops that are not tolerant to dicamba.
